Hollywood Film Festival awards Stone

The Hollywood Film Festival has selected Oliver Stone to receive its Director Of The Year award.

The honour will be presented at an awards ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in October.

The festival will present a retrospective of the Oscar winner's work, including Salvador, Born on the Fourth of July, Platoon and World Trade Centre.

Following the retrospective, Stone will participate in a panel discussion with special guests.
