Duff to work Katrina anniversary

Tween queen Hilary Duff is set to visit New Orleans for the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina next week.

The former Lizzie McGuire star, 18, is planning on serving lunch, handing out supplies and talking to children at schools and recovery centres in the area.

Hilary has been working with the non-profit organisation USA Harvest over the past year, donating millions of meals, water, and other essentials to victims.

Her mingling with the not-so-fortunate coincides with the release of her new film Material Girls, in which she stars alongside sister Haylie as two rich chicks who lose all their money.
