Brando 'taped' private chats

Late screen legend Marlon Brando secretly taped meetings with friends, in which he encouraged them to reveal personal details, according to a long-term pal.

The Godfather star's pal and former make-up man Philip Rhodes recalls how the increasingly paranoid actor installed a monitoring system in his fortress-like house, enabling him to record all telephone calls and eavesdrop on conversations in every room.

Rhodes says: "He'd always say, 'How's your sex life? You getting any on the side?'

"He had all these people talking about their sex life and it was all recorded."
