Big Brother's house of love

Love is in the air in the Big Brother house, as reunited contestants Pete and Nikki declare their feelings for each other.

Love is in the air in the Big Brother house, as reunited contestants Pete and Nikki declare their feelings for each other.

After the self-confessed “lunatic” blonde was voted back inside, the pair snuggled up under a duvet, kissing and talking.

Pete confessed he “couldn’t live without” her after she was ousted, revealing: “I spent all day thinking about you when you left. I really missed you.”

“I missed you so bad,” she replied.

And, as if to prove he must truly be lovestruck, the Tourette’s sufferer even said he loved her whinging: “I know you moan and stuff, but I love you for that. I think it’s really cute.”

Their happy mood also seems to have affected Aisleyne, who gushed to Big Brother in the diary room: “I’m so glad we brought Nikki back.

“It’s so sweet. I feel I’m in the middle of a love story. It’s so nice to watch. It’s beautiful.”

Just to take their minds off the budding romance, the housemates are now occupied with a new task: a Slow Bike Race, in which the most leisurely contestant wins.

The unhurried pace of the BMX challenge contrasts with the dramatic scenes of yesterday, which first saw former Welsh beauty queen Imogen evicted following a public vote.

Then the remaining housemates – except Glyn who was banned from communicating with his fellow housemates following a rooftop stunt – were given a minute to vote back into the house one of four evictees: Grace, Mikey, Lea or Nikki.

They decided unanimously on wannabe footballer’s wife Nikki, who was shown frantically applying make-up and whimpering before walking into the diary room.

She then let out a long, piercing scream when Big Brother told her she was again eligible to win the show and the £100,000 (€150,000) prize.

Bar hostess Imogen had been up for eviction along with Canadian waiter Richard, who also received three nominations.

The pair have been living in a house next door to the main Big Brother building with the four evicted housemates.

After hugging the others goodbye she emerged from the house to cheers, screams and whistling from the crowd outside.

The result means Richard returned to the main house to be reunited with his fellow housemates.

On Friday, the show’s winner will be decided by public vote.

Bookmakers William Hill made Nikki the 5-1 second favourite to win. Pete remains the firm’s 2-9 odds-on favourite.

The odds the firm is offering for the other housemates are: 9-1 Glyn, 16-1 Aisleyne, 25-1 Jennie, 40-1 Richard.

The odds being offered by Ladbrokes are: Pete 1-5, Nikki 5-1, Glyn 7-1, Richard 50-1 and “any other winner” 20-1.
