Stones add dates to US tour
The Rolling Stones have their sights set on recording the biggest-grossing world tour in history after announcing autumn dates in America.
The band is already leading the year's list of tour successes, despite the fact they had to scrap shows as Keith Richards recovered from a fall from a palm tree and Ron Wood checked into rehab to control his drinking habits.
Now, the British rockers are keen on making music history by adding extra dates to their A Bigger Bang tour.
The second US run of shows will follow a string of European stadium dates and begins in Boston, Massachusetts in September.
The Stones have been named the top-grossing band in the world for the first half of 2006, with nearly $150m (€118.87m) in grosses and more than one million in attendance figures, according to Billboard Boxscore.
The tour, which will now close at Los Angeles' Dodgers Stadium on November 18, is expected to ultimately hit totals of more than $400m (€317m).
