Huffman remarkable Transamerica

Felicity Huffman delivers a remarkable performance in Transamerica (Pathé, €21.99). As Bree Osbourne, she’s a transsexual just days away from an operation to transform her life when her son, Toby (Kevin Zegers) pops up and turns her life upside down.

Funny, warm and beautifully enriching, Huffman is sensational — a world removed from her Desperate Housewives role. Fionnuala Flanagan has a wonderful cameo as Bree’s mother, while Duncan Tucker directs with a sure touch.
