Eavis slams rival festival organisers

Glastonbury icon Michael Eavis has slammed rival festival organisers for failing to take steps to safeguard against ticket touts.

Eavis, who has been staging the legendary Glastonbury Festival in Somerset, England, since the early 1970s, promises he will put every measure possible in place to stop people selling tickets for next year's musical extravaganza online for inflated prices.

The 70-year-old says: "We seem to be ahead of the field on it which is rather weird - me being a rather humble dairy farmer!

"But it really bothers me when people buy a Glastonbury ticket for 120 quid, and sell it for 600. A lot of other promoters don't seem to mind what happens to the tickets afterwards, but it does really bother me."
