Aguilera wows the Koko club
Petite diva Christina Aguilera wowed an exclusive crowd at the Koko club in Camden, London last night.
On one of the hottest nights of the year she wore blue hotpants and a sequin halterneck, except for one change into a kitsch sailor’s ensemble.
She combined new and old material in the 40-minute set on a stage reminiscent of an old school jazz club, which reflected the mood of her new album Back To Basics.
Flanked by three burlesque dancers, Christina began with Ain’t No other Man followed by Understand and Candyman.
The set was completed by My Mother, which she dedicated to her own mother, and crowd pleasers Lady Marmalade and Beautiful.
Her encore was Slow Down Baby.
Back to Basics, her third album, is the first since her marriage to record executive Jordan Bratman in November 2005.
