Kristin Scott Thomas is ditching Hollywood in favour of the stage because she's so fed up of the ageism she encounters from casting directors.

The English Patient star, 49, is tired of losing out on lead roles to younger actresses and hopes the theatre will recognise her talent rather than obsessing over her age.
