Cattrall laments loss of voluptuous women

Former Sex And the City star Kim Cattrall has blasted the Hollywood obsession for waif-like women.

The sexy actress is stunned at the appearance of some of today's stars such as Nicole Ritchie, Lindsay Lohan and Kate Bosworth, who have all the headlines recently due to their skinny frames.

She says: "Marilyn Monroe was the last of the voluptuous women.

"If you saw a woman like that now they'd say: 'Oh my God, she's so fat!' That's a shame."

The actress, who played full-figured Manhattan man-eater Samantha Jones in the hit show, said it was important to be happy in your own skin.

"If your vision of beauty doesn't include you, then you've got some serious work to do," she said.
