Minogue had to persuade parents to let her go to Paris

Kylie Minogue had to persuade her parents it was a good idea for her to travel to Paris, France, during her cancer battle, so she could be close to boyfriend Olivier Martinez.

The Can't Get You Out Of My Head star's mother Carole and father Ron desperately wanted their daughter to remain in Australia, but Minogue managed to convince them the French actor would prove to be her cure while she underwent chemotherapy.
