Snow Patrol singer given clean bill of health

Snow Patrol are celebrating the return of their frontman Gary Lightbody with a special thank you gig for their patient fans.

The singer, who initially ignored doctors' advice to rest his voice after suffering a severe throat infection, has been unable to sing since February. The band was consequently forced to scrap their entire US tour.
