The Big Brother housemates have passed their latest task – a Burpathon.
Between them they managed 252 burps – the target was 200 with each housemate having to burp at least once – and were rewarded with a children’s tea party.
Yesterday’s task was seen by Big Brother as a chance for 37-year-old Jayne to make amends after she broke the rules by talking about her impressions of the housemates before she joined the show.
As punishment, all the housemates except her have been put up for eviction this week.
Jayne rose to the occasion, mustering three huge belches before saying: “There’s nothing left. There’s no more gas in there. I can’t get any more out. No it’s not happening.”
Despite that she managed a fourth burp. Big Brother had provided fizzy pop to spur the housemates on.
Spiral managed 51 burps and Richard also impressed. Nikki chipped in for the girls.
For Imogen, however, the challenge was too much and she threw up when it was her turn.
The task accomplished, the housemates donned their party hats and tucked into some food, which included Bakewell tarts and sausage rolls.
Aisleyne was the first excited housemate up from the table, mounting a space hopper and bouncing it round the garden.
On Monday, Big Brother’s decision to put all the housemates except Jayne up for eviction appeared to have left them unfazed.
Pete and Michael were called to the Diary Room but neither said this week’s mass nomination had caused major tension.
Michael told Big Brother: “No-one is feeling like they are attacked.
“The mood is better than I thought it would be. I’m not worried. I’ve held on to my pride and I’ve had a good laugh.”
About Jayne, he added: “She feels like she’s had a lucky escape.
“She’s guilty so she said she’s gonna make us dinner and tea. So it’s good ’cos it means we can sit on our behinds and do nothing all week. But no-one’s angry at her.”
And Pete said in the Diary Room when his turn came: “I haven’t been up yet so now I can have the experience.
“Everyone’s been up but me so I was feeling left out. I’m not that scared but a bit excited. No-one seems bothered that much. Cos we’re all up they’re not worried.”
Phone lines have opened for viewers to evict their least favourite housemate.
