Hurt: 'How can adults enjoy Superman?'

John Hurt has lashed out at the much-loved Superman saga, insisting superhero adventure movies are just for kids.

The Alien star will not be rushing to see Brandon Routh play the spandex-sporting legend in Superman Returns.

He says: "I have never understood why adults go to films like Superman. They are for children. It's fun to make them but I don't think I could sit through one."
