Williams raises alarm in Danish drug haven

Robbie Williams reportedly terrified cannabis-smoking Danes in Freetown, Copenhagen, when he strolled through the neighbourhood - because they were convinced his security guards were part of the drugs squad.

The Tripping singer was exploring the relaxed community, where narcotics are always readily available along the main thoroughfare - known as Pusher Street.

But his walkie-talkie wielding aides sparked alarm when locals mistook them for police officers.

A Danish journalist tells British newspaper The Sun: "There has been a lot of tension between the authorities and the residents and Robbie's visit caused a scene.

"But people soon recognised him and he was made welcome."
