Cash had engineer on call for final album

Johnny Cash was so determined to record a final album in the last four months of his life, he encouraged producer Rick Rubin to set up a studio in his bathroom.

Rubin went one step further, hiring a full-time engineer who would be available to the country legend whenever he felt like recording.
