Doherty: Kate has had enough of me
Troubled rocker Pete Doherty has all but given up on his chances of winning back supermodel girlfriend Kate Moss, but he's determined to honour a promise he made to her to kick his heroin habit.
The Babyshambles frontman has spoken candidly about the state of his volatile romance with Moss in a taped interview with British TV presenter Jonathan Ross, which will air tomorrow.
During the chat, Doherty confessed that his famous ex has “had enough” of his drug-fuelled exploits.
He tells Ross: “(Our relationship) is right and wrong, up and down... She's had enough, I think. I love her bones, I always will.”
Doherty also confirms that Moss pressured him to kick his much publicised heroin habit - and he's determined to show her he's serious about getting clean.
He reveals: “For the first time in my life, I'm upping the stakes in my battle (against heroin).
“Being clean means I can sit down and rediscover writing. My songwriting suffered, being on drugs.”
Doherty is currently undergoing drug rehab at the order of a British court, following an arrest in December, when police allegedly found marijuana, heroin and crack cocaine in the rocker's car.
He adds: “I get tested twice a week for crack and heroin.”
