Oscar-winner Charlize Theron received the Spirit Of Independence award at the Los Angeles Film Festival on Thursday.

Oscar-winner Charlize Theron received the Spirit Of Independence award at the Los Angeles Film Festival on Thursday.

The prize was inaugurated last year to honour "individuals for his or her commitment to artistic independence in film" - and George Clooney is the only previous winner.
