Bruce Willis is throwing his support behind the German World Cup soccer team, because he was born in the country.

Despite his US nationality, the actor was born on a military base in Idar-Oberstein where his soldier father was serving.

He moved to New Jersey when he was two - but is still fond of his place of birth, and will be cheering Germany in their quarter-final against Argentina tomorrow.

He says: "I'm supporting Germany. I'm feeling at home here. I would be very happy if Germany wins and I'm sure they'll make it."
