Bocelli concerts postponed

Two concerts by Andrea Bocelli planned for this weekend have been postponed due to the singer's illness with a throat virus.

The singer's doctor has confirmed that Bocelli has fallen foul of laryngotracheitis.

The concerts planned for this weekend in Galway and Kilkenny have been rescheduled as follows:

- Saturday, July 22 - Pearse Stadium Galway

- Sunday, July 23 - Nowlan Park Kilkenny

All tickets will be valid for the new dates.

"On behalf of the artist, Aiken Promotions wish to apologise for any inconvenience caused," said a spokeswoman.
