Collins: 'My wife ended our marriage'

Phil Collins has lashed out at media speculation he ended his third marriage this year, insisting his estranged wife Orianne was the one who decided to split.

The A Groovy Kind of Love hitmaker, 55, and Swiss-born Orianne, 33, announced they were splitting in March after six years of marriage and two children together, Nicholas, four, and Matthew, one.

Collins says: "I'm going through a divorce and I'm not happy about it. It is not really my doing so I am just trying to keep my life going. I've been through a lot of things and I am just trying to keep my head above water."

Orianne adds: "Our interests were not the same any more. Separation was best."
