Madonna ditches raunch for her dad

Madonna gave toned down the Chicago leg of her notoriously raunchy Confessions tour - because her father was in the audience.

She reconciled with her father Tony Ciccone last year after enduring a stormy relationship since the death of her mother in 1963.

And while previous shows on the tour were littered with swearing, rude hand gestures and even lewd references to US President George W Bush - the controversial star refused to stoop to her usual level with the dad present.

A fan at the show told website The Scoop: "She gave the crowd the finger only one time and never once said the f-word."

"At one point, she actually asked the audience to applaud extra loud for her so that her dad would know she made something of herself. The crowd went wild."
