Former frontman of The Verve, Richard Ashcroft, has been fined for being drunk at a youth club, police have confirmed.
The 34-year-old father-of-two was at the club for the under-12s in Chippenham, Wiltshire on Monday evening when police were called.
Wiltshire Police today confirmed that a man was arrested for being drunk and disorderly at the Bridge Centre Youth Club.
A spokesman said the man was taken to Melksham police station and handed an on-the-spot penalty fine before being released.
Around 60 children were at the club at the time of the arrest, police said.
Ashcroft this year released Keys to the World, his third solo album since the break-up of The Verve.
