Foo Fighters grill up a storm at festivals

Rockers Foo Fighters are festival favourites among their peers because they always cook up a treat backstage.

The four-piece is hooked on grilling and barbecuing and other acts often give up their own food for their smoked goods.

Frontman Dave Grohl says: "We bring a barbecue guy with us and stink up a quarter-mile radius with a delicious barbecue scent.

"It's like a food-relief mission - people flock to us like seagulls on a piece of bread.

"I'll never forget years ago the Smashing Pumpkins sniffing around like a bunch of horny dogs. We felt sorry for them, so we gave them some food."
