Stewart plans eighth child

Rod Stewart is planning an eighth child - his second with fiancée Penny Lancaster - and hopes the new addition will arrive as soon as next year.

The couple welcomed Alastair Wallace in November and are already hoping for a younger sibling for him now model/photographer Lancaster has overcome her parenting concerns.

She says of Alastair's birth: "It was the happiest day of my life and we're going to start trying for another baby in a year's time.

"In the last few weeks of pregnancy I worried whether I would be a good mother, but then the natural instincts kicked in. I love being a mum now, I can't imagine life without him."
