Too many loose ends in Lucky Number Slevin

WHAT to make of Lucky Number Slevin (EIV, €21.99), a strangely dark and humorous thriller with plenty of twists and turns but an oh-too-neat ending.

WHAT to make of Lucky Number Slevin (EIV, €21.99), a strangely dark and humorous thriller with plenty of twists and turns but an oh-too-neat ending.

Slevin (Josh Hartnett) is mugged, then picked up in a case of mistaken identity, not once, but twice by rival gangsters, The Boss (Morgan Freeman) and The Rabbi (Ben Kingsley).

Bruce Willis also strays into the plot, which unfortunately has one too many loose ends.

Don’t blame director Pat McGuigan though, as he gets the best out of the screenplay, but this could have been so much better.

ThrillerStar Rating: 3/5.
