Some films, such as this disappointing affair, simply don’t know what they are supposed to be.

Here we have bride-to-be Perabo about to marry Goode when she meets pretty lesbian Headley … which causes no amount of second thoughts.

The resulting friendship takes them – though, ultimately, not us – into the dilemma of deciding what to do. By this time the rest of us have decided to concentrate on the contents of our popcorn tubs.

It might have been a witty comedy, it might have been a searing tragedy, it might have been a steaming sex romp … it might even have been a film worth watching.

It isn’t.
