Springer set for daytime TV gameshow in UK

Jerry Springer has been lined-up to host a new ITV1 daytime gameshow.

The notorious talkshow host has commissioned a pilot for Aladdin’s Cave.

The show will see couples enter a cave of prizes where they can choose any three items.

If they select wrongly, they could also walk away empty-handed.

The show will see the couples weighing up the value of the items and developing a strategy to beat each other.

ITV’s Controller of Daytime Liam Keelan said: “I am delighted that Jerry is doing this pilot for ITV.

“Aladdin’s Cave is a great format and Jerry is the perfect host for the show.”

Springer’s last daytime talkshow was also on ITV1.
