Baby joy for Matt Damon

Matt Damon and his wife Luciana have had a baby girl.

Luciana gave birth to the couple’s first child, named Isabella, in a Miami hospital on Sunday, the actor’s publicist said.

“Mother and baby – everyone – is wonderful, fine,” Jennifer Allen said.

Oscar-winner Damon married Luciana in December in New York City at a private ceremony attended by the bride’s seven-year-old daughter from a previous marriage.

Together with friend Ben Affleck he won a best screenwriting Oscar for the 1997 film Good Will Hunting, set in the Boston area.

His acting credits also include Saving Private Ryan, Ocean’s Eleven and Syriana.
