Sheridan's ring blows wedding plans

Michael Bolton is forcing fiancée Nicollette Sheridan to wait another two years before the couple finally marry because her lavish engagement ring was so expensive.

The Desperate Housewives star was in London last week proudly showing off the massive diamond ring oblivious to the fact that the extravagance has forced wedding plans back till 2008.

Bolton - who was reunited with the actress in November after the couple originally split in 1993 - says: "Have you seen the size of the ring? Forget the wedding - that was the event of the year as far as I'm concerned!

"Besides I'm recording at the moment and Nicollette's busy with Housewives. I was thinking 2008 for the wedding. But in the meantime I might write another song for her."
