RV is just another silly road-trip movie

You could count the decent films Williams has been in in recent years on the finger of one hand … this dysfunctional family on the road film doesn’t alter the total.

Though Williams himself isn’t all that awful the storyline, the dismally unfunny screenplay and the poor directing are.

Williams plays an overly-busy father whose work schedule forces him to call off the family hols in Hawaii, instead – for some curious reason – packing the wife and ghastly kids off for a road-trip.

You know, by now, what happens … the usual upsets and complications, the fruit-cakes encountered along the way, the telegraphed ‘jokes’ and the wish that it would all end right now!
