Desperate Housewives star slams 'fake' Campbell

Desperate Housewives star Nicolette Sheridan has ridiculed British supermodel Naomi Campbell for putting on a fake American accent.

TV beauty Sheridan, who was also born in the UK before crossing the Atlantic, was amused to be given the US TV Actress Of The Year gong at the Glamour Awards on Wednesday night, blaming the mistake on her 'American twang'.

She then hit out at Campbell after the catwalk queen picked up the Outstanding Contribution Award.

Sheridan said:, "I have a bit of an American twang because I've lived there for ages - unlike Naomi Campbell, who's adopted this bizarre American accent."
