I did it for the money, says actor Dreyfuss

Actor Richard Dreyfuss only starred in new movie Poseidon because he was offered a pile of money.

The 59-year-old actor announced his retirement from Hollywood two years ago because he wanted to concentrate on theatre.

"It was because they offered me enough money to do the things I want to do now, like teaching, lecturing and reading about history," he said.

"I need the money because when I was earning well, I was not handling it as wisely as I should have done."
