Greengrass, who directed the controversial Bloody Sunday film, takes on the harrowing story of the ill-fated Flight 93 that crashed during the 2001 Twin Towers attack … and fashions a quite stunning, calmly honest classic.
The story is well known, the hijacking of the United Airlines flight and the brave but futile ‘Let’s roll’ fightback by the doomed passengers, but Greengrass tells it in its full, heart-stopping horror.
Importantly, he tells it without unnecessary bravado, but with heart, compassion and humanity.
It is a brilliant film in every single regard.
