Loos, Hewitt booted off X Factor
Reality TV veterans Rebecca Loos and James Hewitt became the fourth celebrity act to be booted off X Factor: Battle of the Stars.
Judge Louis Walsh cast the deciding vote to eject them last night â having said earlier the show would not be the same without the pair.
Hewitt and Loos performed yet another out-of-tune duet â accompanied by Hewittâs cringeworthy dance moves â to an appreciative audience.
Earlier in the show, judge Simon Cowell said their rendition of Michael Jacksonâs The Way You Make Me Feel was âonce again a performance the entire country will be talking aboutâ.
He also repeated his earlier comments, agreeing with Walsh, that âthe show would not be the same without youâ.
After the pair were told their fate, Cowell appeared on stage and demanded they return to perform for the showâs finale.
Last nightâs performances came to a showdown between Hewitt and Loos and ex-Coronation Street actress Nikki Sanderson.
Walsh had earlier told Sanderson â who performed I Love Rock nâ Roll by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts â that she deserved a recording contract.
Judge Sharon Osbourne is coaching the 16-24-year-olds â Sanderson and England and Bath rugby player Matt Stevens.
Pop Mogul Walsh is mentor for the over-25s â pregnant former EastEnders star Lucy Benjamin and loudmouth Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles.
Cowell was in charge of Hewitt and Loos and remains the mentor for a quartet of singing celebrity chefs â Aldo Zilli, Paul Rankin, Ross Burden and Jean-Christophe Novelli, dubbed âThe Kaiser Chefsâ by Walsh.
The chefs performed a raucous version of Queenâs Crazy Little Thing Called Love tonight â mostly managing to remember the words.
Their show prompted Osbourne to say: âYouâre all gorgeous, youâre all the worst singers Iâve ever heard, but youâre fabulous.â
On Monday magician Paul Daniels and his wife Debbie McGee became the first celebrities to be booted off the show.
TV nutritionist Gillian McKeith, the host of You Are What You Eat, followed them on Tuesday and glamour model Michelle Marsh left on Wednesday.
The celebrity version of the popular ITV show will run every night until next Monday.
The contestants are raising money for their nominated charities by appearing on the show.
