Wilson 'lucky' to be alive

Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson feels lucky to be alive after he was almost killed by a hit and run driver last Sunday.

The English singer was left with a broken toe and fingers and covered in cuts and bruises after he was hit on a pedestrian crossing by a driver who then fled the scene.

Wilson says: "I feel like the luckiest man in the world. I've only broken my toe and the fingers on my right hand but I had a real shock.

He adds of the accident, "I was lying shaken on the ground, but managed to call an ambulance. I was trying to be very manly about it and pretend there was no problem but I was pretty dazed.

"I can't talk too much about it because there is a police investigation."
