A legal row between the world’s two biggest music companies over the imminent release of a CD called Music Inspired by Da Vinci was settled out of court today shortly before a judge in London was to announce his ruling on the dispute.

Universal Music had sought a High Court injunction banning Sony BMG from distributing the CD in the UK.
