The King is a story of love, lust and destruction

A harrowing, though quite stunningly made, tale of a family in crisis … with a son with a dark past, a minister father who disowns him, a sister taken in an incestuous relationship, a brother who seeks an end to the relationship, a murder and more dark secrets.
Marsh fashions a film that is as dramatic as it is cold and heartless and brings it home as a powerful and memorable story of love, lust and destruction.
The excellent cast gives the drama its all and manages to gain audience sympathy for even the most awful of characters. In short, quite a gem.
