Brick is a quality thriller well written

Brendan (Gordon-Levitt) is the High School loner who turns detective when his girlfriend simply vanishes. With the help of his pal Brian (O’Leary) he peels away the complex layers of the school’s society in the hunt for clues.

What gives this quality thriller an edge is the playing of Gordon-Levitt as a determined and decidedly cool cop and of Haas as the chief, drug dealer suspect.

It’s a sharply-observed and well written and directed film.
