Willis admires cops

Hollywood hard man Bruce Willis blames his addiction for playing cops on his admiration for the work they do.

The Die Hard star, who currently stars in 16 Blocks as ageing detective Jack Mosley, believes policemen are the world's ultimate, and often unsung, heroes.

He says: "I think it's partly because I'm from South Jersey and I have a strong affinity to working-class people. I believe that any job that requires you to possibly get shot dead, you should get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars for.

"These guys don't get paid anything. And yet they go out and do it.

"There's not a lot of them out there, and they're the last line between us and the wolves and the chaos that's out in the world."
