Cher set to replace Dion

Pop veteran Cher will replace Celine Dion at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada, in two years' time.

The If I Could Turn Back Time singer, who recently completed her Farewell Tour, will take up residence in the gambling mecca in 2008.

The star confirmed the plans to Fox News reporter Roger Friedman on Friday.

Caesars Palace is planning to build a unique concert hall to house Cher's extravagant show.
