Court rules Smith can try for late husband's cash
A long-running legal fight by former Playboy Playmate Anna Nicole Smith to claim millions of dollars from her late husband’s oil empire looks set to go on and on and on.
Smith has been trying to claim a fortune from the estate of J Howard Marshall II, who was 89 when she married him in 1994 (she was then 26).
A year later he died, but his son is trying to stop her claiming the money. The fight has gone all the way to the highest court in the USA, the Supreme Court, which has just ruled she has the right to try and get the cash, estimated at about €1.5bn. The case continues.
