Taylor reps deny she is close to death

Representatives for Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor have slammed tabloid reports the star is close to death.

Tabloid stories claimed the Oscar-winning actress was bedridden in her Bel Air, California, home suffering from heart problems and planning her funeral.

But the 74-year-old's publicist insists the rumours are completely false.

The star's representative claims she is busy with her perfume and jewellery lines, along with her AIDS charity work.
