Unwell TV chef Floyd postpones tour dates

Flamboyant TV chef Keith Floyd has postponed UK tour dates after returning unwell from China and the Far East, it emerged today.

The 63-year-old, whose TV shows have been seen worldwide, is currently resting at his home in the south of France.

Four-times-married Floyd was due to travel across the UK on his one-man Floyd Uncorked tour.

Tour organiser Stan Green said today: “Keith returned from working in Thailand and Beijing feeling unwell and tired.

“He went to his doctor who has after various tests told him to take a complete rest from work for two months due to exhaustion and a gastro-intestinal disorder for which he is receiving treatment,” said Mr Green.

The first part of his UK tour in May and June has been postponed, but the second part of his tour dates, starting on September 8, stands, he said.

The chef returned from the Thailand holiday resort of Phuket earlier this month suffering with an ulcer.

In the past he has set up restaurants in Tuckenhay, south Devon; Kinsale in Ireland and Marbella, Spain, as well as writing more than 20 cookery books.
