X Factor winner Shayne Ward will play two live dates in Ireland, it was announced today.
The second-generation Irishman will perform in Dublin’s Point Theatre and Cork’s Millstreet on January 21 and 26 respectively.
The gigs will be the first Irish concert dates for the chart topper, whose mum Philomena was born in Dundalk, Co Louth.
The announcement coincides with the recent release of his self-titled debut album, which hit the shelves last Friday.
Featuring the smash hit No1 singles That’s my Goal and No Promises, the album is expected to soar in to the Irish charts, to be announced by IRMA at 4pm today.

First-day sales in the UK were the third biggest ever, with some 313,000 copies snapped up. The single went on to sell well more than 1.3 million.
His second single No Promises, released on April 10th, topped the charts again securing the No1 spot in Ireland and No2 in the UK.
