Mamma Mia! To hit the big screen

The hit Abba stage musical Mamma Mia! is being transformed into a movie by the former band’s songwriters, Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus, and big-screen star Tom Hanks, it was revealed today.

Film bosses want to release the Abba spectacular by the end of next year, almost 10 years after the birth of the stage juggernaut in London’s West End.
