Alice In Chains plan European tour

Rockers Alice In Chains have lined up their first European tour in a decade, their first dates outside the US since the 2002 drug overdose of singer Layne Staley.

The Them Bones hitmakers will play festival shows in mainland Europe, beginning with the Super Rock Festival in Lisbon, Portugal, between the end of May and the beginning of July.

Founders Jerry Cantrell, Mike Inez and Sean Kinney plan to feature a number of special guest frontmen, with official Staley replacement William DuVall constant throughout the tour.

The group will perform a string of club dates in North America throughout May.

Alice In Chains reformed for a VH1 Decades Rock tribute concert to Heart in New Jersey.
