Troubled singer Whitney Houston is in danger of having her only child taken away if an investigation by Child Welfare officials finds she has turned her home into a drug den.

Recent photos sparked concern after depicting Houston's bathroom littered with drug paraphernalia and the star has also been accused by sister-in-law Tina Brown of being addicted to cocaine.

Houston and husband Bobby Brown's 13-year-old daughter Bobbi is staying with Houston's brother Gary until the Child Welfare Services are satisfied that Houston is not a danger to her child.

They have stated that if Bobbi's home is "deemed unsuitable", she may be taken away from her family and placed into care.
