Oscar-winning actress Whoopi Goldberg is set to shock fans by playing a baddie in TV crime drama Law & Order: Criminal Intent.

The Ghost star, 50, will share the screen with Chris Noth's character Detective Mike Logan and Sepatha Merkerson's Lieutenant Van Buren, in a May episode.
