12 million watch death of Street's Mike Baldwin

More than 12 million Coronation Street fans watched the final moments of one of the soap’s most enduring characters, viewing figures showed today.

They revealed a peak audience of 12.6 million people tuned in last night to see Mike Baldwin die in the arms of his long-time rival Ken Barlow, ITV1 said.
